Eastbourne Bonfire Society was formed in the early 2000s and holds its night on the first Saturday of October. Visiting Sussex bonfire societies in costume join its torchlit procession along the seafront, which ends with an effigy, a bonfire on the beach and fireworks.

Crown and Anchor
The torchlit procession leaves the Crown and Anchor on Marine Parade at about 19:15 and follows the seafront. The bonfire is on the beach near the Wish Tower, with fireworks at about 21:45.
