Every January the Gower Heritage Centre, a working twelfth-century corn mill that makes its own cider, wassails its orchard to wake the apple trees and ward off bad spirits for the coming harvest. Mari Lwyds from around South Wales, including the Coppertown Mari Lwyd, join a torchlit parade with the Gower Old Horse, Morris dancers, fire performers and folk bands, and the Gower Wassail song is sung under the trees.
