Hailsham Bonfire Society was re-formed in 2005, and its members make around 1,800 torches by hand for the night. Their torchlit processions through the town end at the Western Road Recreation Ground, and the event is paid for by street collections and programme sales.

Sets off from
Western Road Recreation Ground
The first procession sets off from the Vicarage Lane car park by the leisure centre at about 19:30 and goes round the town centre. A second procession at about 20:30 leads to the Western Road Recreation Ground for the bonfire and fireworks at about 21:15.
