Heathfield Community Centre playing fields

The procession leaves the Heathfield Tavern on Station Road at about 19:15, climbs to the High Street and returns by Mill Road to the fire site on the Community Centre playing fields off Sheepsetting Lane, where the fireworks start at about 20:40. The fire site needs a wristband.

About

Heathfield and District Bonfire Society was re-formed in 2018 and marches through the town with torches on the second Saturday of October. As well as the Gunpowder Plot, it remembers the Heathfield martyrs Margery Morris and her son James, burned for their faith in 1557.
