Masham’s Market Place once saw tens of thousands of sheep sold each autumn. The present fair began in 1986 as a one-off Sheep Aid fundraiser for farmers in Africa and has been held every September since, with pens of many breeds, judging and stalls, raising money for Yorkshire charities.

Pens of sheep, the judging and the stalls fill the Market Place in the middle of Masham. Follow the signs to the fair car parks, whose charges go to charity, and walk in.
