About

On the evening of 5 November the church bells are rung and the village bell ringers use crowbars to roll over a boulder weighing about a ton. Local legend says the Devil lies trapped beneath it, and turning it keeps bad luck away from the village for another year. It happens on the 5th whatever day of the week it falls.
