The lordship of Holm Cultram held two fairs a year, one on Maundy Thursday and one on Corpus Christi day. The queen was due a toll at both. They were recorded in an inquiry made in the fifteenth year of Elizabeth, which also found the sea banks broken down and Wolsty Castle in decay.

There were two fairs in the year on Maunday-Thursday, and Corpus Christi-day, on which toll was due to the queen.
