No longer kept

On Twelfth Night in the second year of Henry VIII a pageant like a glittering golden mountain, with a golden tree of roses and pomegranates on top, was wheeled up to the King in the hall at Richmond. A lady in cloth of gold came out of it, and the royal henchmen, freshly disguised, danced a morris before the King. Then the wassail or banquet was brought in, which marked the end of Christmas at court.
