On Ascension Day the men of Kemes played knappan at St Meugan’s against the men of Emlyn, who were joined by the men of Cardiganshire. This and the Corpus Christi match at the same place were the greatest of the Pembrokeshire knappan days, often drawing some two thousand on foot besides horsemen.
