At York and Newcastle upon Tyne a kissing bush was hung up at Christmas, made of mistletoe, evergreens, ribbons and oranges. Denham saw it in kitchens and hoped it would spread to entrance halls and last for centuries.

The bush is formed of mistletoe, evergreens, ribbons, and oranges.
